Worker Met with Accident in Machkund Hydro Electric project
A worker was injured following a cable burst at the Machkund Hydroelectric Project. The incident occurred after the Current Transformer (CT) of the project's 132/11 kV transformer exploded, causing an 11 kV cable to burst and catch fire; the flames subsequently caught onto the back of Ram Parja, a temporary worker stationed nearby. Colleagues working nearby brought the fire under control, extinguished the flames on Ram's body, and immediately rushed him to the project's medical unit. After receiving first aid there, he was transferred to the Lamtaput Community Health Centre, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
