Sorry to learn Passing away of Ms.Razia Sultan Ismail : Who Loved Children to the Core of her heart .

Today while reading an article by Kumar Tiku , in The Statesman , I learnt that Razia Sultan Ismail breathed her last on 17th September at the age of 87 . I felt sorry to learn this . I had the opportunity to meet Ms.Razia number of times in workshops of children at Delhi and later at Bhubaneswar as a part of India Alliance for Child Rights .

As Kumar Tiku puts in the article : Ms. Razia was many things : a pioneering journalist, a senior UNICEF professional ,, an advocate , loved Children and especially girl children to the closest of her heart .
Communications is not simply about getting attention. At its best, it is about making people visible. It is about giving a voice to those who are rarely heard. It is about using whatever influence one possesses in the service of something larger than oneself.
She believed that journalism and communications could restore visibility to people whom circumstances had rendered invisible .
Our Prayers are there with the Noble soul of Ms.Razia .
