Rajnath Singh to Visit Sunabeda on October 6 for HAL Shakti Engine Programme

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Sunabeda in Koraput district on October 6 to attend a major programme of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) marking an important milestone in the indigenous manufacture of aero engines.

According to sources Rajnath Singh will be the Chief Guest at the inauguration of the second manufacturing line of the SHAKTI Engine and the ceremonial delivery of the 2,000th engine manufactured by HAL Koraput. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to be present at the programme.

Security arrangements have been intensified in Sunabeda and surrounding areas in view of the Union Defence Minister's visit. Extensive police personnel have been deployed, and special measures have been put in place for traffic control. The law and order and security situation is being continuously monitored under the leadership of Koraput SP Rohit Verma and Jeypore SDPO (IPS officer) Archita Mittal.
