Analysis of Odia movie : Jadi ( If ... ! )

Just returned from watching an Odia Movie : Jadi , meaning " Iff .. " . The 3 hr. movie attempts to highlight the issue on Growing numbers of Rape and Murder cases , its cause and tries to explore the prime responsible reason for such crime to take place . While there could be many interpretations of the movie and parts of it , the most highlight of the movie was the last two to three minutes in the movie that drew my attention . I think that was the key message of the movie . While the movie had projected different causes of the crime in the entire movie , the last few minutes were dedicated to the greater Iff ... to prevent the crime . Even if its the very person who commits the crime is responsible for the crime , If Parents , guardians and society be little more responsible in their approach towards Children , adolescents and Youth in standing with them , listening to them , helping them to walk on the platform of rising consciousness , roots of crime could be prevented to grow for the proper care and protection of the minds preventing them to commit the crime .

In the last few minutes the movie shows how Youth were protecting the girls when found alone in a lonely area rather than taking any advantage of the vulnerability of the girls , how an auto rickshaw driver drops the girl child from the school when a father doesn't reach in time etc . I think in the current world at least in India such care and honour exists more than the crime against the girls while the rising trend is a great concern . Such examples of act of togetherness need greater promotion so as to replicate in the vulnerable places & situation aswell . Further it would also helping to restore the faith of the Girls on the society around them . Its a good movie and must watch . I was happy to watch such a wonderful movie in Odia after a long time . Congratulations to the team .
