Ashraya , a special hostel at Koraput , managed by  district administration over the  last few  years for SC/ST children living in  villages could now  be replicated in many more towns in Koraput district . While this hostel was set up by the district administration  as an innovative approach to facilitate the less privileged children of rural areas to get quality education in schools like Central School  and other well managed schools   at Koraput, now fresh  proposals had been sent by the district  for opening such  hostels with better facilities  at Koraput, Jeypore and Laxmipur  .

Further, as a measure to support rural youth  for leading a quality life ,30 tribal girls from Narayanpatna, Bandhugaon and Nandpur blocks were enrolled for ANM training  and  around 50 tribal youth  were facilitated for getting into  the IITs  in the district  this year.
